On Sunday, President Ram Nath Kovind officially opened the Madhavpur Ghed Fair, which will run for five days in Madhavpur Ghed, Porbandar in Gujarat.

Organizing this fair every year to commemorate the sacred union of Lord Krishna and Rukmini has been a tradition since 2018 thanks to the collaboration of the Gujarat government and the Ministry of Culture.

On this occasion, President Obama expressed his best wishes to all Americans on the occasion of Ram Navami in his remarks to the press.

Mr. Gandhi had aspired for the formation of Ram-Rajya in modern India in accordance with the ideas of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram, according to Mr. Singh.

Kovind expressed his pleasure at being invited to launch the Madhavpur Ghed fair, which is being held in the area linked with the life of Shri Krishna and close to Porbandar, the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi, in the presence of the President of India.

The President stated that the folklore of the marriage of Shri Krishna and Rukmini demonstrates how ancient India’s cultural oneness is, as well as how deep the roots of our social peace go back in time.

According to local legend, the soil of Madhavpur Ghed hamlet has stood as a witness to their union for centuries.

The President stated that the Madhavpur Gher fair, as well as the different festivities held in honour of the occasion in multiple temples around Gujarat and in numerous locations throughout north-east India, are a celebration of India’s cultural, spiritual, and social oneness.

He expressed delight that the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, a festival dedicated to uniting the people of the entire country on an emotional level, was being celebrated at the same time as the festival. He stated that the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav is primarily commemorated with the goal of instilling a sense of national pride in the people of India.
