Nair will represent the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2022.
Karun Nair, one of India’s most talented batters, has struggled to establish himself as a regular in the Twenty20 format. Following his record 303 against England in 2016, his Test career has likewise failed to reach the heights that many had hoped it would. IPL 2022
Nair had a strong start to his IPL career, scoring 330 runs at a strike rate of 142.24 for the Rajasthan Royals in the first season of the competition. However, despite having played for a few more teams since then, he has been unable to establish himself as a reliable performer in Twenty20 cricket.
Nair has re-joined the Rajasthan Royals for the upcoming IPL 2022 season after developing a good working relationship with the team in recent years. He expressed excitement about the prospect of contributing to the team’s success.
People don’t think of me as a T20 expert because I’ve been asked to take on a variety of tasks, including: Karun Nair is an Indian film director and producer.
“In my perspective, the reason for this is that I’ve never been the kind of primary player in a squad in Twenty20 cricket.” he says. According to what I’ve seen, whenever I score runs, there’s always someone else who scores more runs in the same match (laughs).” Nair remarked in a news statement provided by the Rajasthan Royals.
More seriously, the reason why people don’t regard me as a T20 specialist is that I’ve been asked to fill a variety of positions over the years, and although some of them have been successful, others have been a disappointment. “However, I’m hoping to have a successful season with the Royals and to simply concentrate on whatever I’m assigned to accomplish,” he continued.
“Of course, a lot has changed since the first time I came here (to the Royals), but this team has always felt like a second home to me.” The team is well-balanced, and I’m having a great time getting to know all of the men. In the history of this club, this is a wonderful time to be a part of it, and I’m looking forward to playing an entertaining kind of cricket, which I know the Royals are always striving to do,” said the 30-year-old Nair.
Nair stated that he is looking forward to playing alongside his “great buddy,” the Royals’ skipper Sanju Samson, with whom he has previously shared the IPL 2022 field in past seasons.
The fact that I’ve always enjoyed playing with Sanju makes me excited about the prospect of reuniting with him on the field. The two of us have developed some really strong working relationships over the years, and I’m overjoyed that Sanju, together with Kumar (Sangakkara) and Zubin (Bharucha), have showed the confidence in my abilities to bring me back into the team,” he said.
